During this stage I had used the skills of using columns, placing text and controlling the positioning of the text. I have also used the shape tool when drawing circles, rectangles and straight lines. I placed an image and used settings to set it as my background and I have placed images inside of particular shapes. I have also exported fonts onto the computer so that I was able to use different fonts that are not already available on the system.
I later decided to change small sections of my double page spread including where I placed my break out boxes and the shapes of them. This involved deleting shapes and drawing new shapes and matching the size of the shapes. I inserted drop cap onto my article to make it look more professional and I changed the background colour beneath my article. I used photoshop to create images of circles to save as a Jpeg and place onto my InDesign product.
When using photoshop to create my front cover piece I have used tools such as inserting text and controlling the text. This included editing the size, colour and positioning of the text. I have used the stroke tool on my title and main headline. I used image placing to insert my background. I also used the shape tool when creating my header and footer blocks and a circle for my breakout box.
